ACCESSIBILITY

Making retirement information easier to access.

Retirement information should be usable by people with a wide range of abilities, devices and assistive technologies. Skyline Retirement is working to make its digital experiences accessible to as many people as possible.

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as an accessibility target and reference point as we develop and improve the Skyline Retirement platform.

ACCESSIBILITY APPROACH

Designing for more ways of accessing information.

Skyline Retirement aims to consider accessibility throughout the design and development process. The following are areas we seek to support as the platform evolves. This describes our approach and goals; it should not be interpreted as a representation that every page or feature currently satisfies every accessibility criterion.

01

Keyboard navigation

Core site navigation and interactive elements are intended to be usable without requiring a mouse or touch input.

02

Readable content

We aim for readable contrast, scalable text and layouts that remain useful across different screen sizes and zoom levels.

03

Semantic structure

Pages are intended to use meaningful headings, landmarks, descriptive links and understandable labels.

04

Visible focus

Interactive elements should provide a visible indication when they receive keyboard focus.

05

Forms and errors

Forms should provide understandable labels, instructions and useful error information where applicable.

06

Meaningful images

Meaningful images should include appropriate text alternatives, while decorative imagery should not create unnecessary noise for assistive technology.

07

Motion preferences

We seek to respect reduced-motion preferences and avoid requiring unnecessary animation to understand important information.

08

Multimedia access

Where multimedia is used, we aim to provide captions, transcripts or another appropriate accessible alternative when feasible.

ACCESSIBILITY STANDARD

Using an established accessibility framework.

Skyline Retirement uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as its accessibility target and reference standard.

WCAG provides guidance for making digital content more perceivable, operable, understandable and robust for people with disabilities.

Reaching and maintaining accessibility objectives is an ongoing process. Digital products change, new features are introduced, technologies evolve and accessibility issues can emerge after launch. We expect our accessibility practices to evolve with the platform.

ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY

Built for modern ways of browsing the web.

Skyline Retirement is intended to work with current versions of modern web browsers and commonly used assistive technologies, including screen readers, keyboard navigation and browser-based accessibility features.

Because combinations of operating systems, browsers, devices, browser extensions and assistive technologies vary considerably, we cannot guarantee identical functionality with every possible configuration.

If a particular technology or configuration prevents you from accessing information on Skyline Retirement, please tell us so we can better understand the issue.

KNOWN LIMITATIONS

Some experiences depend on third-party technology.

Skyline Retirement combines our own content and interfaces with services and technologies provided by other organizations. Some embedded tools or newly released functionality may have accessibility limitations that are not entirely within Skyline's direct control.

We aim to identify and address accessibility barriers within the areas we control and to consider accessibility when evaluating integrations and platform improvements.

Examples may include

  • Embedded questionnaires and interactive experiences
  • Third-party scheduling interfaces
  • External analysis tools and applications
  • Video and multimedia platforms
  • GoHighLevel forms, widgets and other platform components
  • New features undergoing continued development

THIRD-PARTY CONTENT

External services have their own practices.

Skyline Retirement may link to, embed or integrate websites, applications, scheduling services, videos, analysis tools and other content operated by third parties.

Those external services are generally governed by their own accessibility practices, technologies and policies. Skyline does not control every aspect of a third-party digital experience.

We nevertheless welcome reports about barriers encountered while using third-party functionality through Skyline because that feedback can help inform future integration and product decisions.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Accessibility evolves with the platform.

Skyline Retirement expects to review accessibility as the platform grows, new content is published and new tools are introduced. Feedback from consumers is one of the ways we can identify issues that may need additional attention.

This accessibility statement may be updated as our technology, testing practices and accessibility processes evolve.
